Photographing the 360 degree jewelry views for Tiffany & Co has been one of my most challenging and gratifying assignments to date. I was tasked with matching Tiffany’s lighting aesthetic and high quality standards. One stationary lighting setup had to work for each angle of the item as it rotated around. Due to the rotating table setup, I was not able to add any cards or other grip as is customary in jewelry photography. I was also restricted by having to capture each frame in one shot, as opposed to a composite. Given all of the hurdles described, I am very proud of how these images turned out.
The success of this project could not have been achieved without a talented, patient and driven team. Art director, Anne von Hemert, pushed us to produce beyond what we thought was possible. Stylist, Tanya Aviles, embraced propping restrictions and made magic happen.
